For the second time in a row Microsoft have released a patch that has caused havoc across workstations worldwide.
The patch that was supposed to stop Outlook 2010 going into Safe mode has done the complete opposite, and now once installed causes Outlook to go into safe mode all the time, leaving plugins not working and settings changed for users.
The patch KB3114409 has since been pulled from Microsoft, however not before causing issues around the world.
Removing the patch KB3114409 instructions can be found here, or contact your IT guy to help get Outlook 2010 back to normal.
If this seems like de ja vu, you’d be right as you might recall last month’s KB3097877, a patch that froze Outlook, blocked network logons, and caused other mayhem on Windows 7.
