Why do we receive so many SPAM Emails?
Do you constantly get SPAM emails? do you feel they’re ever increasing? You’re not alone. SPAM and other malicious emails like phishing (trying to get personal details from you pretending to be someone or something they’re not) and fraudulent emails are filling inboxes all over the world.
To help reduce the amount of unwanted emails and minimise the risk of viruses coming through, there are a few precautions you can take.
Email Safety, where prevention is better than cure.
Sending out SPAM and fraudulent emails is a full time job, so filtering out these unwanted emails is an ever evolving system. The best way to sort these out is have all your emails filtered through an advanced cloud based scanning system, with all the clean emails arriving in your inbox.
Think of this as a water filtration system, where the water is filtered even before it arrives at your office.
Education, we all need to be alert.
While a lot of emails are simply a “scatter gun” approach, hoping that someone falls for their tricks, there are more and more focused SPAM emails from sources who’ve done their research, asking accounts departments for money to be transferred. Some of these can’t be stopped and all we can do is check the email address to make sure it’s coming from someone we recognise, and if not delete it and make a call to the person they’re pretending to be.
